SINGLE ACCESS CABINETS

Where the cost and need of individual drawer cabinets exceed your requirements Intelligent Storage can offer the Single Access Cabinet as a solution. Employing ALL the functionality of the Individual Drawer Cabinets with the exception of the fact that the whole cabinet is unlocked.

A main control engine called the CasCMaster controls user accesses to the cabinet whether done via a local electronic key or by remote control (RS485 or Ethernet). 

LOCAL CONTROL

The USER KEY is programmed locally into the cabinet using the special MASTER KEY and SUPERVISOR KEYs. A MASTER KEY is generated which has the ability to program SUPERVISOR KEYs at any cabinet within a site, this SUPERVISOR KEY then has the capability to program USER KEYs at only the location permitted by the MASTER KEY. The USER KEYs are then only allowed access where the SUPERVISOR KEY HAS permitted to do this. Each access made by a USER KEY is time tagged and logged so that some time in the future this information may be downloaded using a laptop or CasCTerm for audit purposes. The MASTER, SUPERVISOR and USER KEYs can be our standard TOUCH BUTTON device or it can be your own choice of swipe, proximity, or smart card, or even alternate methods of personnel recognition such as biometric (Fingerprit or Retinal scanning) or simply a keypad where a code entry is required. REMOTE CONTROL

The ultimate use of the cabinet is to connect it to a local PC using some form of stock control software, whether your own, or specified by Intelligent Storage. We can currently directly interface to AutoTAS, Cribmaster, ITMS and many others. The storage cabinet has a full interface specification which is available to end users and system integrators to ease the integration process. Local control can be achieved via industry standard RS485 permitting up to sixteen cabinets on one wire pair, or alternately using the optional Ethernet connection where the maximum number of cabinets is not limited.

RETROFITTING

Intelligent Storage has the capability to fit the Intelligent Locking system to many other makes and styles of cabinets, we can even provide the fitting service on site (UK Mainland only). We have so far fitted out FAME, FAMEPLA (POLSTORE), LISTA and more recently BOTT cabinets.
