CUPBOARDS

Intelligent Storage have now added cupboards to their product range, which can be supplied complete, or retrofitted to existing cupboards.

The “Intelligent Locking” solution for cupboards takes away none of the functionality and very little of the storage space, and allows use of the cupboard to be controlled and monitored in a way that has not been possible until now.

As with the individual access cabinets, the cupboards can be accessed locally via any of our extensive range of access options, or can be accessed remotely via a P.C.

Once electronically accessed, the system allows the standard cupboard handle to function normally, allowing access to the cupboard. The CasCMaster or “brain” held within the cupboard will log the unique user number and the time of access, and once transactions are completed, the system will sound an audible alarm if the door is left ajar or is not re-locked. They delay between usage and alarm is easily modifiable by the senior site personnel.

As with all Intelligent Storage products, if fitted with a CasCMaster they can be linked to existing management software for stock control / inventory / material usage / security etc.

IT MANAGEMENT

Working in conjunction with BOSS Enclosures, Intelligent Storage are delighted to introduce a new product range of 19” racks fitted with our unique “Intelligent Locking” systems

The systems, originally designed for use in the computer and telecommunications industries have surprised even us with the first orders being used in the Pharmaceutical industries for transporting clinical trials, and much interest now from the security industry for the safe storage of CCTV control equipment – total traceability being one of the key factors.

The 19" rack employs Intelligent Locking's embedded Flash PIC based core processor module or the Rabbit module processor system which allows Ethernet access, and Intelligent Locking's own CasCBus system, utilising a dedicated serial master bus system.

The unit is made up of one CasCMaster and various interface modules for lock control and identity device recognition. This gives the ability to "add on" extra modules such as additional card readers that are programmed to work on the CasCBus.

Using onboard EEPROM up to 2000 users can be easily programmed to allow access to the rack.

The system can also be linked to outside software and can be operated as a stand-alone or linked to PC via our own RS 232/485 converter box system.

The addition and use of our “Rabbit module“ will also allow the system to have remote access and interrogation from almost anywhere in the world via Ethernet.

FREEZERS

Intelligent Storage have recently applied “Intelligent Locking” systems to chest & upright freezer units.

The electronic lock and controls are fitted externally to these units, to prevent loss of storage space or contamination of sensitive materials stored inside. The freezer unit can be accessed locally via touch button (other access options available), or remotely via a PC in the same way as an individual access cabinet.

When the freezer is accessed, the door is unlatched and is free to be opened manually. If the freezer is accessed locally, the users unique identity and time of entry is logged in the master control unit. The master control unit also has an internal alarm to warn the user if the freezer has been left open.

DOCUMENT SECURITY

Following requests from document storage companies, CasC have included Intelligent Locking in Filing Systems as a part of the standard product range.

As with almost all of our products, the Intelligent Locking technology can be located into new and existing storage equipment, and can be accessed by all of our traditional methods (Touch button / cards / proximity cards / biometrics etc.)

The systems, as with all of our unique range, can be linked to outside or in-house written software packages, or can be stand-alone. Remote access is also available with this system if required, as is Ethernet link.
